Canon PIXMA TR4700 Driver Download For Windows and Mac, Manual, Wireless Setup, Scanner Install -The Canon PIXMA TR4720 is a budget all-in-one printer designed for home use. It uses a two-cartridge system and is compatible with Canon’s PG-275 Black and CL-276 Tri-color ink cartridges. The scanner has an automatic feeder but doesn’t support duplex scanning. It has USB and Wi-Fi connectivity, supports Apple AirPrint and Morpia Print Service, and is compatible with Canon’s mobile app. This printer is part of Canon’s PIXMA TR4700 series of all-in-ones. All variants are identical in feature and performance; the model number only changes depending on the region, retailer, and color of the printer. The Canon PIXMA TR4720 is decent as a family printer. It prints photos with excellent quality, vibrant and fairly accurate-looking colors, and very good black tones. There’s also a flatbed scanner with hinges that raise the lid slightly and an automatic document feeder. Unfortunately, the cost-per-print is poor, and it can’t print directly from external storage.
The TR4720 is better for monochrome printing as it has a slightly higher black page yield and a lower cost-per-print for black-only printing. Also, it has an automatic document feeder, built-in fax, and can automatically print double-sided. As for the photo printing quality, the TR4720 has a wider color gamut and produces better-looking photos. On the other hand, the TS3520 has a better color page yield and a much cheaper cost-per-print for color documents and photos. The build quality is sub-par. It’s entirely plastic, with some parts feeling flimsy, like the output tray and scanner lid hinges. The paper input tray can’t hold many sheets and isn’t removable, and if you want to store paper in the printer, you need to keep both the input and output trays open. If you need to replace the cartridge in the middle of a print job, the output tray could also get in the way and make replacement difficult. On the bright side, the cable is detachable for easy replacement in case it gets damaged, and the cartridges have an easy-clip system that makes them easy to replace.
Another flaw of the Pixma TR4720 is its 20th-century control panel, which consists of several buttons for navigation, configuration, and starting copy and scan jobs; a number pad for entering fax numbers; and a two-line monochrome LCD instead of a color touch screen. Any photo printer, of course, will benefit from a handy touch screen with the ability to display graphical representations of photos and documents, as well as easy-to-navigate menus with color icons and configurable presets. The TR4720’s control panel is not pretty, or cool, or pretty cool, but with a little practice it’ll serve well enough for walk-up tasks, though you may find it more convenient to use Canon’s Print Inkjet/Selphy App on your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet. Paper handling consists of one 100-sheet input drawer; you can remove the letter- or legal-size paper to load up to 20 sheets of premium 4-by-6- or 5-by-7-inch photo paper. I can’t quote a recommended monthly duty cycle or print volume, as Canon (like Epson) hasn’t published those specs in some time.
